Project Overview:
This project constructs safety improvements along the Military Road S corridor to establish a physical separation between motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. Currently, there are no bike lanes and pedestrians travel along a delineated shoulder walkway at the same elevation as vehicles with no separation. Improvements include construction of bike lanes, curb and gutter, Americans with Disabilities Act compliant sidewalks with landscaping, street lighting, driveways to control access to businesses and residences, upgraded pedestrian crossings, and a right turn lane. This project was preliminarily rated as Not Recommended because the City has all funds necessary and has already started construction on the project.

4. Tukwila Station Nonmotorized Connectivity and Safety (Tukwila)
Project Overview:
This project will improve nonmotorized safety and connectivity between Tukwila Station and the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) District. The TOD District is within walking distance of the Tukwila Station, but without safe or convenient access for pedestrians and bicyclists. The Green River and State Route 181 serve as major barriers, resulting in a route that is circuitous on busy public streets. The project will build upon some segments that have already been constructed to include a Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB), a pedestrian signal, Green River Trail improvements linking Tukwila Station with the TOD District, and wayfinding.
